How to create a VypeLink account

Sign Up / Registration

  1. Go to Sign Up Page
     

  2. Enter your email address (make sure you have access to it)
     

  3. Create a password
     

  4. Check the box to accept the Terms and Conditions
     

  5. Hit 'Sign Up With Email'

 


Next, you will be directed to the Create Website Page, where you connect your YouTube channel.

Adding your YouTube channel

  1. Go to Create Website Page
     

  2. Enter your YouTube channel URL
     

  3. Wait a few seconds for your channel's name and thumbnail to appear
     

  4. Click "Create"

Note: A YouTube channel is connected once and cannot be modified later.

How to log into your VypeLink account

You can access the login page by clicking "Log In" at the top right corner of the Homepage, or alternatively browse it directly: vype.link/login

Log In

  1. Go to Login Page
     

  2. Enter your account's email address
     

  3. Enter your password
     

  4. Hit 'Sign In'



Next, you will be directed to the Editor Page.

How to edit your VypeLink

After login, you will be directed to the Editor Page.
You can also access it by clicking the "EDITOR" button at the top right corner of the Homepage.

The Editor Page is where you edit your VypeLink. It contains 2 sections:

1. Editor Section - This is where you edit the content of your website. Located on the left side of the screen.
2. Preview Section - See how the changes you made in the editor are reflected on your site. Located on the right side of the screen.

 

Changes made in the Editor Page are saved and reflected on your live site automatically.

VypeLink URL

The URL address of your website. This is the link you use to share your website with others.

To customize your VypeLink URL:
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. Select 'GENERAL' tab 
     

  3. Under 'VypeLink URL', enter custom URL address

Contact Email

The email address to which contact form submissions are delivered.

To customize your Contact Email:
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. Select 'GENERAL' tab 
     

  3. Under 'Contact Email', enter preferred email address

Page Title

The title of your website, located at the top of the page.


To customize your Page Title:
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. Select 'GENERAL' tab 
     

  3. Under 'Page Tile', enter custom title

Channel Description (Optional)

A short description of your YouTube channel.


To customize your Channel Description:
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. Select 'GENERAL' tab 
     

  3. Under 'Channel Description', enter description (max. 300 characters)

Background Color

You can add custom links for product promotions, merch items, whishlists, recommendations, favorites, or any other external websites you would like to connect.
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. ​Select 'LINKS' tab
     

  3. Click "Add New Link"
     

  4. Give your link a title, this will appear in a button on your VypeLink (there is a little grey pencil beside the field)
     

  5. Next, add a URL (there is a little grey pencil beside the field)
     

  6. Your link will now be live on your website, to hide this link simply click the toggle in the top right

The background color of your website.


To customize your Background Color:
 

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. Select 'GENERAL' tab 
     

  3. Under 'Background Color', select preferred color box

Troubleshooting Links

What to do if your link is not showing on your website.
If a link is not displaying on your website it could be due to the following:
 

  • You have not added a title
     

  • You have not added a URL
     

  • Your link toggle is switched to 'off'
     

  • You have not added a valid URL (make sure to add http:// or https:// before the URL)
     

  • The link you have entered is considered unsafe or malicious

How to add social icons to your VypeLink

VypeLink is a great place to link your audience to the different social platforms you have a presence on.
This feature allows you to link various social media profiles as icons on your website.

You can add your social media profiles by going to the Editor Page and selecting the 'SOCIAL' tab.

Each social media profile will either need to be added as a URL or by adding your social media handle. You can find out how to add your social media profiles as icons with the instructions below:

How to add your Instagram

To add your Instagram profile as a social icon, enter your Instagram handle in the 'Instagram' section. Your Instagram handle will look something like this: @MyInstagramAccount
Please note: This is an example and you will need to use your own Instagram handle. 

How to add your Facebook Profile

To add your Facebook as a social icon, copy your Facebook page URL and enter it in the 'Facebook' section. Your Facebook URL will look like this: https://www.facebook.com/myfacebookurl

How to add your Twitter

To add your Twitter profile as a social icon, enter your Twitter handle in the 'Twitter' section. Your Twitter handle will look something like this: @MyTwitterHandle

How to add donation icons to your VypeLink

VypeLink allows you to link your audience to different donation platforms, where they can support your channel and pay for extra content.
This feature allows you to link various donation platforms as icons on your website.

You can add your donation platforms by going to the Editor Page and selecting the 'DONATIONS' tab.

Each donation platform will need to be added as a URL. You can find out how to add donation platforms as icons with the instructions below:

How to add your PayPal

To add your Paypal as a donation icon, copy your PayPal Me URL and enter it in the 'Paypal' section. Your PayPal Me URL will look like this: https://www.paypal.me/mypaypalurl

How to add your CashApp

To add your CashApp as a donation icon, copy your CashApp URL and enter it in the 'CashApp' section. Your CashApp URL will look like this: https://www.cash.app/$mycashappurl

Customizing your VypeLink

You can customize the content and the appearance of your VypeLink using the Editor Section, located on the left side of the Editor Page.

The Editor Section consists of 4 different tabs:
 

  • GENERAL - Customize your website's URL address, contact email, page title, channel description and background  color.

  • LINKS - Create custom links and connect your audience to any website of your choice.

  • SOCIAL - Add your social media profiles as icons.

  • DONATIONS - Add your donation platform accounts as  icons.

How to remove VypeLink branding (Upgrade)

Upgrading your plan removes VypeLink branding (top banner) from your website and automatically keeps your site updated with your latest YouTube videos at all times.

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. ​At the top of the Preview Section, you'll find a 'Created on VypeLink' banner.
     

  3. ​Click the 'Created on VypeLink' banner
     

  4. Under 'YouTuber Plan', Click 'Upgrade Plan'
     

  5. Choose a payment provider and fill in your billing info.
     

  6. Agree to the terms and conditions & pay
     

  7. Enjoy your 'Youtuber Plan' Subscription!

Remove VypeLink branding

Sharing your VypeLink

Now you have a VypeLink, it's time to share it everywhere. Here we explain where you can use it, and how to add your URL to some of the most popular places. 
 

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here are more ways you can make use of your VypeLink:

  1. Go to Editor Page
     

  2. ​At the top of the Preview Section, To the right of your VypeLink URL, you'll find a 'Share' button
     

  3. Click the 'Share' button
     

  4. Choose where you'd like to share your VypeLink, copy the link and follow the instructions.

How to share your VypeLink URL online

Adding your VypeLink to Youtube Channel

  1. Go to 'Your channel' by clicking on your profile pic in the top left.

  2. Hit 'Customize channel'

  3. Click 'Basic info'

  4. Under 'Links' add your link title and paste your VypeLink URL in the URL field.

  5. Optional: Under 'Channel name and description' paste your VypeLink URL in the 'Description' field

  6. click 'Publish'

Adding your VypeLink to Youtube Video

  1. Go to 'Your channel' by clicking on your profile pic in the top left.

  2. Hit 'Customize channel'

  3. Click 'Content' on the left menu

  4. paste your VypeLink URL in the 'Description' fied

  5. click 'Save' on the top right

Adding your VypeLink to Instagram

  1. Log in to your Instagram

  2. Navigate to your profile page by tapping on your profile image.

  3. Click 'Edit Profile'

  4. Paste your VypeLink URL into the 'Website' field

Adding your VypeLink to Facebook

  1. Log in to your Facebook

  2. Navigate to the 'About' page on your profile

  3. Click 'Contact and basic info' section

  4. Select '+Add a website'

  5. Paste your VypeLink URL into the 'Website address' field

  6. Click 'Save'

Adding your VypeLink to TikTok

  1. Log in to your TikTok account

  2. Go to the 'Profile' section of your account

  3. Click on 'Manage Account' and switch to a 'Business Account'.

  4. Click 'Edit profile'

  5. Paste your Vypelink URL into the 'Website' field

  6. Click 'Save'

Adding your VypeLink to Pinterest

  1. Log in to your Pinterest account.

  2. Hit 'Settings' by clicking the gear icon located in the top right corner on mobile and within the dropdown menu next to your avatar in the top right corner on desktop.

  3. Paste your VypeLink URL under 'Website URL'
     

Note: Ensure that you paste your URL with 'https://' otherwise Pinterest may flag your URL as invalid. Once you paste the full URL and hit 'done' it will automatically reformat your URL without the 'https://'.

Adding your VypeLink to Twitch

  1. Log in to your Twitch channel

  2. Click 'About'

  3. Select 'Edit about & links'

  4. Scroll down to the 'Social Links'

  5. Add 'VypeLink' in the first text field and paste your VypeLink URL in the second text field

  6. Click 'Add'

Using your analytics

You can access the Analytics Page by clicking "Analytics" at the top left corner of the Editor Page, or alternatively navigate directly: vype.link/analytics.

What counts as a View?

A view is every time your VypeLink is viewed. This could also be considered as how many times your VypeLink link has been clicked. For example, if 1 visitor lands on your VypeLink once, that is counted as 1 view. If that visitor visits your VypeLink another 3 times, that is another 3 views which now equals 4 views. If 100 visitors land on your VypeLink 2 times, then your views count will be 200.

What counts as a Click?

A click is when a visitor clicks on one of your VypeLink links. For example, if a visitor on your VypeLink clicks on 3 different links, your click count total would be three.

How you can use your Analytics insights

Keep track of your Views and Clicks and you'll be able to work out which calls-to-action are getting your audience onto your VypeLink page, and which links they're engaging with when they get there. 

Try moving less popular links further up your VypeLink, or deleting them if they don't perform. Test out different copy on your buttons and see how that changes the View count. Before long, you'll become accustomed to making content decisions based off how your links perform.

What is 'CTR'?

CTR stands for Click Through Rate. It is a way to measure the performance of your links, by telling you the percentage of views that resulted in a clicked link. If your CTR is 52%, then 52% of your views resulted in a click of one of your links. CTR is calculated by dividing the number of clicks by how many views your profile has received. So if you have received 1,000 clicks and 2,000 views, your CTR would be 50% (2000/1000x100).

Lifetime Analytics

This block shows your total Views, Clicks and Click Through Rate for the lifetime of your account. That is, from the very start of your VypeLink until today.

In this section, we'll walk you through each data chart on the Analytics Page.

Custom Date Range Totals 

Our date range selector allows you to choose up to 30 days of data so that you can analyze your VypeLink performance around the dates you've pushed a promotion or launched a new product!

Top Locations

This block shows your total Views, Clicks and Click Through Rate per country for the date range selected. The location is based on the country your visitor was in when they visited your VypeLink.

Top Referrers

This block shows your total Views from each referrer. A referrer is where your visitor came from before landing on your VypeLink.

Top Devices

This block shows your total Views, Clicks and Click Through Rate , per device type for the date range selected.

Link Analytics

This block shows the Clicks and CTR of each individual link, for the date range selected. This can really help you pinpoint the engagement and hone your content strategy accordingly. This is a great way to measure the performance of your links on a daily basis.

Social and Donation Icons

This block show the Clicks and CTR of each social/donation icon for the date range selected.

How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel your subscription anytime on the Subscription Page. 
Once you cancel, you will lose access to all your 'YouTuber Plan' features. This means that your website won't be available to other people, and you won't be able to view analytics.

Please note that your account will be downgraded back to the free plan at the end of the billing cycle / free trial period. If you canceled your subscription before your free trial ended - your card won't be charged.

Canceling your subscription

  1. Go to Subscription Page
     

  2. ​Click the arrow on the right to expand your plan information.
     

  3. ​Click 'Cancel Subscription'
     

  4. Confirm cancellation by selecting 'Yes, Cancel'
     

  5. You subscription will be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle / free trial period.

How to change your password

You can change your account's password on the Subscription Page. 

Changing your VypeLink password

  1. Go to Subscription Page
     

  2. ​Click 'Change Password' at the bottom of the page
     

  3. Enter you login email and click 'Create Password'
     

  4. A password reset link will be sent to your email. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

Activity Chart

This chart shows your Total Views, Unique Views, Total Clicks, Unique Clicks and Click Through Rate per day for the date range selected.

What counts as a Unique View ?

Unique Views show how many individual users viewed your VypeLink. Therefore, if the same visitor views your VypeLink multiple times, it will still count as a single unique view.

What counts as a Unique Click?

Unique Clicks show how many individual visitors have clicked on one or more of your VypeLink links. Therefore, if the same visitor clicks multiple links on your VypeLink, it will still count as a single unique click.
